With a focus on music as a context, Yasser will discuss his thoughts on the need for intelligent, flexible and hackable design in an ever changing digital landscape where audiences are consuming and sharing content in diverse ways.

Biography: 

Yasser Rashid is a Senior Interaction Designer at BBC Audio and Music Interactive involved with developing innovative design solutions for multi-platform projects, social networking tools and conceptual prototypes.

His background in new media encompasses artistic, educational, public sector and commercial contexts. Projects have included initiating an experimental interaction design lab at the Watershed Media Centre, Bristol to creating mobile and online interactions for community led projects to delivering innovative global solutions to blue chip companies. As an artist Yasser has shown work nationally and internationally to include Space Media Arts Tagged exhibition, London, Sonic Arts Network festival, Bristol and Ars Electronica, Austria.
