It is an interactive installation for providing a new experience to audience which aims to explore the use of digital media technology as an expressive media.
In the project, real time video capturing and processing is used to create a mirror-like projection screen. With the use of mirror as a metaphor, people experience subjective and objective self at the same time.
The self of individuals is transformed and extended through the use of layering and processing of video with time delays. By ‘echoing’ the extension of self, individuals absorb self-reflections repeatedly in a closed system.
Simultaneously, Individuals are able to observe the surrounding environment external to themselves when finding themselves disappear gradually in the mirror-like projection screen if they stand still.
The immediate desire to create is empowered and stimulated by providing a responsive and generative environment through motion tracking. Technology is used here as an expressive media to stimulate individuals’ imaginations and help practicing their creativity.
The installation becomes a theater for public to do performance.
